An 18-year-old man is dead and two young adult women were injured in a crash on Dallas Boulevard in Wedgefield that involved three cars early Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The 18-year old in his white Ford F-150 truck was pulling another gray Ford pickup back onto the roadway after it got stuck on the shoulder when a third vehicle, driven by a 27-year-old female, collided with the two pickups around 1 a.m. Sunday, FHP said.
The 18-year-old’s truck overturned and the driver was ejected and pronounced dead, according to FHP.
Two pedestrians, a 20-year-old female and a 17-year-old female, standing outside of the gray Ford pickup were struck by the white pickup as it overturned, FHP said.
The two women sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, according to FHP.
The investigation is active and ongoing with charges pending, FHP said.
